As German Chancellor Angela Merkel scurries to Brussels to rally support from her EU collaborators, domestic support from her Bavaria allies is caving. Meanwhile, French president Emmanuel Macron is in disarray as his beloved Schengen agreement and free movement of people policies fall apart. The EU budget is about to tank in the event of an ever-more increasingly likely Brexit no deal. And dissent is at boiling point across the former Soviet satellite nations of Hungary, Poland, Slovakia as well as EU stalwarts Italy in the aftermath of the George Soros-backed mass immigration project.
The whole of Europe is in chaos and the days of the EU are now clearly numbered. For Remainers, the disaster scenario is now looming. The prospect of no EU even existing by the time they call again for another referendum. The chances of which are close to zero. The British people have no stomach for yet another referendum and just want Theresa May’s government to get on with what they promised in the 2016 referendum. The squabbling amongst the liberal elite over what flavour or Brexit they will deliver is also testing the patience of the British People. As promised by the government in 2016 under the then-leader David Cameron, was for the British government to “implement” the decision of the British electorate. The much-derided GBP 9 million campaign clearly stated what was on offer.
The 17.4 million majority expect s their government to deliver on this promise. They are, thus far, still waiting for the one and only total break with the unelected and undemocratic European Union to be executed upon. Non customs unions of any other fabricated smoke and mirrors status quo will be tolerated by the British electorate. As the migration ferries head for Spain, the tensions across Europe are rising by the day. The so-called “populism” of common sense and cultural heritage is at breaking point as the zealots in Brussels and Strasbourg suck on their champagne flutes and nibble tax-payer funded canapés. “Let them eat cake” Marie Antoinette allegedly once said at another crisis point in modern European history. And we all know how that ended up for the bourgeois aristocracy elites.
